No App Store needed
Kwikiz,
one tap from your home screen.
Add the Kwikiz app straight from your browser. It opens full screen like any app, keeps you signed in, works offline and updates itself. Free, and it takes about five seconds.
Your browser will ask you to confirm. That's it.
We'll show you exactly where to tap in Safari.
This page opens on your phone, then one tap adds Kwikiz to your home screen.
How it works
Three steps. About five seconds.
-
1
Tap “Add Kwikiz”
On Android and in Chrome, your browser asks you to confirm. On iPhone, we walk you through Safari's Share menu.
-
2
Find it on your home screen
The Kwikiz icon lands next to your other apps. Move it wherever you like.
-
3
Learn anything, anywhere
Open it like any app: full screen, signed in, ready for your next round, even on the metro.
Same Kwikiz
Feels like an app. Because it is one.
No browser bars. Kwikiz opens from your home screen like any other app.
Your topics, reports and saved questions stay with you on the plane or the metro.
New features arrive on their own. Nothing to download, nothing to update.
About 3 MB, runs in your phone's own browser engine, no extra permissions.
Your progress follows you between your phone, the web and the store apps.
Long-press the icon and remove it, like any app. Your account stays safe.
Good to know
Before you tap.
Is it the real Kwikiz?
Yes. It's the same app, with the same account, topics and progress, delivered by your browser instead of an app store. Sign in once and everything is there.
What's the difference with the App Store and Google Play apps?
Very little: the learning, rounds and reports are identical. The store apps add phone extras like shake-to-report on iPhone. Use whichever you prefer; your progress syncs between them.
Why does my iPhone need Safari?
Apple lets you add web apps to the Home Screen from Safari (and from Chrome on recent iOS) using the Share menu. Apps like Instagram open links in their own browser, which can't do it, so open this page in Safari first.
Is it safe? Does it use my data?
It runs inside your phone's browser engine with no special permissions, over a secure connection. It only stores your learning data so it works offline, and removing the icon removes the app.
How do I remove it?
Long-press the Kwikiz icon and choose Remove App (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android). Your account and progress stay safe on Kwikiz.
Ready when you are
Your next round is one tap away.
